Description

Day 1: Munich
Individual arrival at the first hotel in Munich.

Day 2: Munich – Bad Tölz (~60 km)
Following the Isar River, you start to distance yourself from Munich and immediately find yourself immersed in pristine nature, amidst lush forests. You will encounter abbeys and Bavarian villages, and cross the wetlands of the Isar River, before reaching Bad Tölz, a renowned spa town and picturesque town that combines the charm of baroque buildings with nature, with the powerful chain of the Alps surrounding it from the south.

Day 3: Bad Tölz – Maurach/Jenbach (~70 km)
Today, you will also follow the flow of the Isar until Lake Sylverstein. Passing through the Karwendel natural park, you will cross the border between Germany and Austria, reaching the tourist region of Achensee, with its namesake mountain lake. The possibility of taking a boat trip before continuing along the Inn Valley and covering the final stretch to reach Maurach/Jenbach.

Day 4: Maurach/Jenbach – Innsbruck (~48 km)
From Jenbach, you will continue on the bike path along the Inn River to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. Enjoy a walk in the historic centre, visit the famous Golden Roof or Bergisel, the Olympic ski jumping hill located on Mount Isel, which is a real architectural attraction.

Day 5: Innsbruck – Rio di Pusteria (~55 km + train or bus)
The challenging part of this stage, between Innsbruck and Brennero, the border between Austria and Italy, is travelled by a train or a bus transfer. Only a few buildings remind of the former border. From Brennero you will cycle along the old railway line passing through Vipiteno and Fortezza until Rio di Pusteria.

Day 6: Mühlbach/Rio di Pusteria – Villabassa/Dobbiaco (~50 – 55 km)
Cycling along the Rienza River across the Pusteria Valley, on a well-maintained bike path, you will reach Brunico: take a walk on the old town’s main street with its small shops full of typical products. We also suggest a visit to the ethnographic museum in Teodone, an open-air museum that illustrates the life of rural society from nobility to peasants. After leaving Brunico, continue on the bike path along the Rienza river to Villabassa/Dobbiaco.

Day 7: Villabassa/Dobbiaco – Cortina d’Ampezzo (~30 – 35 km)
Today, set off towards Val di Landro, pedalling on the cycle path that follows the route of the old railway; the stage will take you to Lake Dobbiaco and then to Lake Landro, but not before enjoying a breathtaking view on the Tre Cime. With an extraordinary route, following the illuminated tunnels, we reach the lively and well-known Cortina d'Ampezzo, the “Pearl of the Dolomites”.

Day 8: Cortina d’Ampezzo – Longarone (~55 km)
Continuing slightly downhill, with Mount Pelmo on the right and Sorapis and then Antelao on the left, crossing the Boite Valley, you will arrive at Titian's hometown, Pieve di Cadore. On the new cycle path, you reach Longarone, a city completely rebuilt following the 1963 tragedy when a landslide broke off from Mount Toc and fell into the artificial basin of the Vajont dam, causing a wave that overtopped the dam and overwhelmed the beneath village.

Day 9: Longarone – Conegliano (~55 km)
From Longarone, continue by bicycle to Conegliano, where you can visit the castle, the small square and the frescoed cathedral.

Day 10: Conegliano – Treviso (~50 km)
Leaving the Alps behind, continue through the plain towards Treviso and its canals. You can admire the magnificent villas of the architect Palladio who, particularly in this area near the influence of the naval power of Venice, created many of his masterpieces.

Day 11: Treviso – Venice/Mestre (~47 km)
Continuing towards the sea, you will cycle on the bike path that runs along the Sile River to Venice/Mestre. From here, you can discover the magnificent Serenissima.

Day 12: Venice/Mestre
After breakfast, end of services.
