Description

Day 1: Faro - Tavira
Upon arrival at Faro airport, transfer to Tavira. Depending on your flight schedule, you will have the opportunity to explore this charming city in the Algarve, known for its decorated facades, traditional doors, and preserved beaches. You could opt for a boat excursion to Tavira Island and its long beach. The night will be in Tavira's heart.

Day 2: Tavira - Santo Estevão - Santa Luzia - Tavira (25 km; +/-150 m)
After the delivery of bicycles at your accommodation at 09:30, you will cycle along the banks of the Gilão river, then through orange groves, lemon groves, and carob groves. A stop will allow you to discover the "well of hell", a deep basin created by a waterfall, a real subtropical paradise. The route will lead you inland, through the picturesque villages of Santo Estevão and Santa Luzia, to Barril beach. Return to Tavira for the night.

Day 3: Tavira - Fuzeta - Montecarapacho - Tavira (8 km; +/-150 m)
You will start with a visit to Tavira's colorful market to buy fresh and local products. Coastal trails run along the saltpans and channels of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, crossing orchards and pine forests to Fuzeta, a small fishing port on the bank of a turquoise lagoon. The return to Tavira will be via internal roads in the "barrocal", with its farms, gardens, and orchards, and the charming village of Moncarapacho. Night in Tavira.

Day 4: Tavira - Cacela Velha - Castro Marim - Vila Real de Santo Antonio (40 km; +/-100 m)
The coastal route through the ecovia will take you from Cacela Velha, one of the most beautiful places in the Algarve, to Castro Marim, protected by two fortresses. You will follow the Guadiana river, the border with Spain, to Vila Real de Santo Antonio, facing the small Andalusian town of Ayamonte. Night in Vila Real de Santo Antonio.

Day 5: Vila Real de Santo Antonio - Ayamonte - Vila Real de Santo Antonio (40 km; +/-100 m)
A short ferry will take you to Ayamonte, Spain. This incursion will allow you to discover the differences between the two Iberian regions. From Ayamonte, a bike path leads to Isla Christina, appreciated for its long beaches. After the return ferry, you will cycle through a vast coastal pine forest. Return to the hotel in Vila Real de Santo Antonio for the night.

Day 6: Vila Real de Santo Antonio - Faro

After breakfast, transfer to Faro airport (40 minutes). End of services and individual departure. Possibility of extending the stay.
