Description

Day 1: Villabassa/Dobbiaco
Individual arrival at the hotel in Alta Val Pusteria, in Dobbiaco. Free unattended parking is possible near the hotel.

Day 2: Villabassa/Dobbiaco – Cortina d’Ampezzo (30 – 35 km)
From Villabassa/Dobbiaco you will start pedaling along the Landro Valley passing near the beautiful Lake of Dobbiaco and the Austro-Hungarian War Cemetery: you are in fact in what was part of the front during the First World War. After passing Lake Landro, you can admire the wonderful panorama of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. The cycle path then slowly descends towards Passo Cimabanche, the border line between South Tyrol and Veneto, while the road opens towards the valley and will soon lead you to Cortina d`Ampezzo.

Day 3: Cortina d’Ampezzo – Belluno (75 km)
Today you will continue pedaling gently, following the old railway with the Sorapis group on the left and the Cinque Torri on the right. Once you have crossed the Boite valley you will reach Pieve and Calalzo di Cadore; from here begins the new cycle path that will take you to Longarone. The city is sadly famous for the Vajont tragedy, which occurred in 1963, after which it was completely rebuilt. From Longarone you will cycle slightly downhill towards Belluno.

Day 4: Belluno – Feltre (40 km)
From Belluno, a small provincial capital, the tour continues towards the hills following a well-defined route that will take you to the end of the stage in the town of Feltre. During the journey you can admire picturesque villages, while to the north the southern slope of the Dolomites stands out, your travel companions in these first stages.

Day 5: Feltre – Bassano del Grappa (55 km)
For the first few kilometers you cycle down into the Brenta Valley; where the homonymous river reaches the plain, lies Bassano del Grappa, a city that owes its name to the nearby Monte Grappa. Its craftsmanship, with its excellent ceramics, and the gastronomic tradition linked to traditional products such as asparagus, cod and the famous grappa, are the pride of the city. Here you can also breathe the history linked to the Second World War: a walk on the Ponte degli Alpini or the Hemingway and Great War Museum is not to be missed.

Day 6: Bassano del Grappa – Treviso (55 km)
Leaving the Alps behind you, along the way, you can see numerous villas designed by the architect Andrea Palladio, from whose project the Ponte degli Alpini was also born. Asolo is the ideal city for a stop along the way: one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, it is nestled among the hills dotted with cypresses, walking through its streets will take you back in time. You will then continue towards today’s final destination: Treviso, whose small canals already recall the now nearby Serenissima. Take a stroll to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the city and admire the medieval and Renaissance palaces that line the canals, adorned with extraordinary frescoes.

Day 7: Treviso – Venice/Mestre (45 km)
Following the river Sile, the stage will take you towards the Adriatic Sea to arrive in Mestre, the mainland of Venice. The magnificent and imposing “Serenissima” offers countless ideas for a visit; if you have the opportunity, do not miss the opportunity to dedicate yourself to the discovery of this enchanted city.

Day 8: Venice/Mestre
End of services after breakfast and individual departure.
