Description

Day 1: Copenhagen
Individual arrival in Copenhagen, the Danish capital and global capital of cycling. If you have time, we recommend visiting the old Nyhavn port, the Royal Castle, or simply enjoying a walk in the Tivoli Gardens, a famous amusement park that hosts rides, attractions and performances, perfect for both adults and children. Alternatively, you can go shopping in the city's main street, Strøget, reach the Round Tower, breathe the atmosphere of freedom in the Christiania district or take a boat trip on the narrow canals.

Day 2: Copenhagen – Horsholm (36 km)
Cycling through the streets of Copenhagen is a beautiful way to start your tour of Denmark. You will follow the wonderful North Zealand coast, passing some of Denmark's most well-known attractions, such as the statue of The Little Mermaid (Den Lille Havfrue) and Bellevue Beach. At Dyrehaven, a royal hunting ground, you will bike along quiet trails surrounded by ancient trees and curious deer. Then you can stop at Bakken, one of the most famous amusement parks, before arriving at your hotel in Horsholm on the Oresund coast.

Day 3: HorsholmHelsingor (20 km)
Today you will continue to pedal north along the coast, enjoying beautiful views of the Oresund Sea and its delightful characteristic cottages. In Rungsted, you can visit the home of Danish author Karen Blixen, famous for Out of Africa, and in Humlebaek you will find the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, famous not only for its collections but also for its beautiful architecture and location. The stage ends in Heslingor, an ancient fishing village. After this calm day, you can spend the afternoon visiting the imposing Kronborg Castle (the famous Hamlet's Castle) and the ancient center.

Day 4: Circular tour in Sweden and Helsingor (40 km)
If you didn't visit Kronborg Castle the previous day, you can do it this morning, or you can visit the Danish Maritime Museum, or catch the ferry to Sweden (departure every 15 minutes, about 20 minutes travel time, not included): you can do a 35 km circular tour that will take you from Helsingborg along the coast, through sandy beaches and charming villages, to finally return through the forest. Overnight in Helsingor or surroundings.

Day 5: Helsingor – Hillerod (54 km)
Today you have the opportunity to visit two of Denmark's most beautiful castles. The cycling day starts along the coast towards Hornbæk, a small fishing village with some perfect spots for a sea bath and some relaxation. It is also worthwhile reaching the historic abbey in the village of Esrum. The itinerary then continues along the shores of one of Denmark's deepest lakes. Extending the stage by about ten kilometers, you can also visit Fredensborg Palace, the queen's summer residence, a fairytale castle built in the 18th century, with unique interiors and surrounded by a beautiful park. Once in Hillerød, you continue along the lake to the enchanting Frederiksborg Castle.

Day 6: Hillerod – Copenhagen (38 km)
On your return to Copenhagen, you will pass through the quiet forests and typical villages of Denmark. You will be amazed by how much nature there is just a step away from the capital and how easy it is to reach Copenhagen from the green North Zealand. For the first kilometers towards Farum, the itinerary follows secondary roads and winding paths, while the last ones will be on the track of the Supercykelsti (super bike path) usually used to cycle to the capital.

Day 7: Copenhagen
After breakfast, the services end and individual departure. Possibility to extend the stay by booking one or more extra nights in Copenhagen.
