Description

Day 1: Individual arrival in Basel
Individual arrival in Basel and check-in at the hotel.

Day 2: Basel – Miécourt, (51 km; +840/-640 m)
Leaving the lively atmosphere of Basel, you will cycle on the first slopes of the Jura, following the stream immersed in the woods of La Lucelle, on the French-Swiss border, before diving into the gentle fields of Ajoie.

Day 3: Miécourt – Saignelégier, (44 km; +1075/-575 m)
St. Ursanne, a medieval village located at the foot of the Jura, awaits you on the banks of the mysterious Doubs river. Another somewhat challenging climb will lead you to the Freiberge, a wide and quiet countryside with pastures, pines, and grazing cattle and horses.

Day 4: Saignelégier – Travers/Couvet, (71 km; +845/-1095 m)
After breakfast, you will start cycling to reach the center of La Chaux-de-Fonds, or you can take a train to La Cibourg and then continue. The bustling metropolis, famous for its historical watch production, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. From here, the route will lead you through the moor of Les Ponts-des-Martel to Travers or Couvet.

Day 5: Travers/Couvet – Ste-Croix, (28 km; +570/-230 m)
Today your journey will continue along the Green Fairy trail through the Val-de-Travers. Ste-Croix and L’Auberson are known for crafting beautiful jukeboxes, music boxes, and mechanical puppets.

Day 6: Ste-Croix – Vallée de Joux, (48 km; +965/-1025 m)
Today from the plains of Vallorbe you will climb the Dent de Vaulion and then reach the Vallée de Joux. In this high valley, the clear and quiet Lake of Joux awaits you.

Day 7: Vallée de Joux – Nyon, (43 km; +385/-995 m)
After breakfast, you will cycle to the Col du Marchairuz: here you will find hundreds of anthills and artistically positioned stone walls in the quiet Parc Jurassien Vaudoise. Finally, you can relax and gently descend into the tranquility of Lake Geneva.

Day 8: Individual departure from Nyon
After breakfast, end of services.
