Description

Day 1: Aarhus
Individual arrival in Aarhus and hotel accommodation. The hotel is located in the center of Aarhus, a stone's throw from the main points of interest: the historic center, the Cathedral, the Marina, the Aros Art Museum, the Music House, the Latin Quarter and cozy cafés.

Day 2: Aarhus – Ry (41 km)
Today you will start your tour of Jutland by bike with an easy stage. You will leave the city pedaling on the bike path along the stream. After a couple of kilometers, you will already be far from the city noise and will pedal through the wetlands and along the lakes. On quiet roads, you will continue west, into the rich Danish countryside, until reaching the small village of Ry, located on the banks of the Gudenåen, Denmark's only real river.

Day 3: Ry – Silkeborg and back (69 km)
Today you will have several options: you can take the Himmelbjergbåden boat from Ry, then indulge in a canoe trip on the lakes or by bike to explore the area. If you choose to bike from Ry to Silkeborg (51 km, +300 m) you will cross some of the most beautiful and unspoiled countryside in the Central Jutland Region. First you will cycle north of one of the numerous lakes, Salten Langsø, through clearings in forests full of blueberries, junipers and heather. The stage then follows an old track, passing by the Vrads station, with vintage trains and a café. Finally, you will reach Vrads Sande, a unique landscape with sand dunes. The stage ends in Silkeborg, the capital of the Lake District. From Silkeborg, you can take the train to Ry or continue pedaling.

Day 4: Ry – Odder (43 km)
Today you will cycle along some of the most beautiful lakes in Denmark, with a splendid view of the highest mountain in the country (less than 200 m above sea level). You will cycle towards the Øm Monastery: the many archaeological findings bear witness to the ancient history of the area. Skanderborg is a charming town on the lake, one of the most exciting places on today's stage and it's definitely worth stopping here for lunch. After Skanderborg, you will cycle towards the lake of Stilling, to then return to the hills and a splendid view of the sea, before reaching Odder, where you will spend the night.

Day 5: Samsø Island (70 km)
Today you will visit the Danish island famous for its renewable energy, microclimate and organic farming. A one-hour ferry trip will take you to Sælvig (the fare is not included), from where you will pedal in the northern part of Samsø, among its really unique hills and seascape. Everything on Samsø is small and beautiful: unspoiled beaches and quiet villages where there are cafes and markets selling local products. Samsø is also a center of Danish wine production. Overnight stay in Odder.

Day 6: Odder – Aarhus (34 km)
From Odder, you'll bike to the Eastern coast. Very few places in Europe offer beautiful beaches and bike paths so close to the city, as in the case of Aarhus. You will pass the Norsminde fjord, where there is a lock separating the sea from the lake. It is a very popular fishing place and also a very nice place for a picnic. You will cross the Marselisborg forest, up to the bay of Aarhus. Then you will leave the coast, passing in front of the Danish Queen's summer residence, before arriving in the city center. Overnight in Aarhus.

Day 7: Aarhus
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure. Possibility to extend the stay.
