Description

Day 1: Calvi
Arrive individually in Calvi and check into your hotel. Explore this beautiful medieval city, characterized by a blue coast facing the mountains, including the majestic Monte Cinto, and a beautiful 12th century Genoese citadel. For dinner, we recommend trying a typical restaurant among the old streets of the harbor.

Day 2: Calvi – Galéria (38 km; +487/-472 m)
From Calvi, the spectacular sandy beaches of Balagne disappear to make way for the granite and volcanic rocks of the north-west coast, with steep ochre, pink or red cliffs, and rare wild beaches made up of mallow, black sand and pebbles torn from the volcanic peaks. The view of the sea is amazing. Cycling along the coast you will reach today’s destination: the small village of Galéria.

Day 3: Galéria – Porto (51 km; +921/-903 m)
Today you will cycle on one of the most fascinating roads in Europe, with breathtaking ups and downs towards the Gulf of Porto. Along the way, you can admire a spectacular view of the bay of Girolata, a charming village accessible only by sea or on foot. Don’t forget your camera to capture the most suggestive moments of this unforgettable landscape.

Day 4: Porto – Corte (83 km; +2895/-2493 m)
Today awaits you a high-altitude stage. You will cross numerous picturesque villages, such as Evisa, famous for its chestnuts, and the magnificent Forest of Aïtone. You will explore the remote area of Niolu, and cross Albertacce, Casamaccioli and Calacuccia along the shores of its vast lake, before reaching Corte through the spectacular Scala di Santa Regina.

Day 5: Corte – Zicavo (80 km; +1947/-1686 m)
Today awaits a mountain stage among the majestic chestnuts that will take you to the famous Green Pass (1289 m) to reach Zicavo. This charming mountain village is located in the heart of a wild and unspoiled valley, surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Natural Park. The charm of Zicavo lies in the water that constantly runs along the streets and gardens of the village. Climb above the village to admire the waterfall with its crystal clear pools.

Day 6: Zicavo – Zonza (44 km; +1800/-1743 m)
After the road that crosses the Vaccia pass, you will reach the picturesque village of Zonza, which is located in one of the oldest inhabited territories of the island. This charming village, typical of the South of the island, is characterized by facades covered with ochre stones and small shops. Located in the heart of Alta Rocca, at an altitude of 762 meters above sea level, Zonza offers breathtaking views, with the famous Aghi di Bavella towering on the horizon against a blue sky.

Day 7: Zonza – Bonifacio (71 km; +1014/-1783 m)
Today you will cross the village of Levie. You will feel at home in this beautiful natural environment. In addition, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio before reaching the extraordinary city of Bonifacio, located on the top of its white cliff overlooking the sea.

Day 8: Bonifacio
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure. Possibility to book a private transfer from the hotel to the airport.
