Description

Day 1: Arrival in Geneva
Once you arrive in Geneva, you will have the opportunity to explore this extraordinary international city and the "old town" where you can find many typical restaurants and stop by the magnificent lake. A small tip, stop by a small boutique to fill your pockets with chocolate because tomorrow your tour begins!

Day 2: Geneva – Seyssel (60, 90 or 98 Km)
Today will only be a warm-up! The itinerary will take you through the Swiss countryside of Geneva and across the French border. You can choose whether to pedal on the Col de Richemond or the Col de la Biche, both routes offer magnificent views; if you want, you can try the thrill of the Col du Grand Colombier described 5 times in the Tour de France. You will stay overnight in the charming city of Seyssel, with a splendid view of the Rhone river that divides the city into two.

Day 3: Seyssel – Annecy (53 Km)
Enjoy a beautiful start to the day at the Château de Clermont, a remarkable castle built in the sixteenth century. From here the route plunges into the suggestive Gorges du Fier and continues towards the town of Quintal. At Quintal you will climb up to the Montée du Semnoz, which was the finish of the 20th stage of the Tour de France 2013, before enjoying a great descent towards Annecy. Take some time to visit this picturesque city, known as the "Venice of the Alps" for its numerous canals.

Day 4: Annecy – Le Grand Bornand (65 Km)
The ride today is magical! Start pedaling along the turquoise-colored shores of Lake Annecy, before tackling the first pass of the day, the Col des Marais. The next one is a classic of the Tour de France, the Col de la Croix-Fry. From here you can choose whether to descend to Le Grand Bornand or a short 5 km climb will take you to the Col des Aravis. This extra effort will be rewarded by a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc! Anyway, enjoy a well-deserved rest in your hotel in Le Grand Bornand!

Day 5: Le Grand Bornand – Morzine (74 Km)
"Le Grand Bornand to Morzine" sounds like a stage of the Tour de France, and today's route could be one! The Col de la Colombière and the Col de Joux-Plane are probably the two most revered climbs in this part of the Alps and today you will tackle both. You will start with the Col de la Colombière before descending into the city of Cluses. Subsequently with an average gradient of 9%, the Joux-Plane has often been one of the decisive climbs of the Tour de France and the Dauphiné Libéré. From the top of the hill, you will descend to Morzine, where you will stop for the night. If you also have the strength, at the end of the day, you can climb up to Avoriaz!

Day 6: Morzine – Yvoire (84 Km)
Today's stage features a pleasant quiet ride snaking through the Chablais mountains to Lake Geneva. Along the way, you can enjoy a spectacular view of valleys and agricultural lands before enjoying the striking panoramas that open onto the lake and traverse the distant Jura Mountains. As if that's not enough, tonight you will stay in one of the jewels of Savoy, the medieval village of Yvoire. Enjoy the magical view of the lake in the evening while reflecting on an epic week of cycling in the French Alps!

Day 7: Departure
After breakfast we will take you back to the airport or Geneva train station.
