Description

Day 1: Individual arrival in Stockholm
Individual arrival in Stockholm and accommodation in the hotel. Treat yourself to a stroll in the capital of Sweden and explore some of the numerous tourist attractions.

Day 2: Stockholm – Vaxholm (30 – 50 km)
After breakfast, you will start the tour by passing through Djurgården, the green island of Stockholm, and then continue along the coast up to Djursholm. The suburb is famous for its citizens and you will understand it from the amount of beautiful houses that you will see. The last 15 km will lead you through the Swedish landscape passing through Bogesund Castle, which is certainly worth a visit. Vaxholm, the capital of the archipelago, awaits you with its large 16th-century fortress, which can be reached with a short ferry ride.

Day 3: Vaxholm – Djurö (35 – 40 km)
This morning you will reach the island of Rindö by ferry and after a brief exploration, you will move to Värmdö. Here, in the middle of the archipelago, you will be able to admire small villages and lots of nature. Through the impressive Djuröbron bridge, you will reach your hotel, where you will be able to enjoy unforgettable views of the archipelago.

Day 4: Djurö – Runmarö – Sandhamn – Djurö (25 – 35 km)
In just five minutes today's ferry will take you from Stavsnäs to Runmarö, one of the largest islands in the archipelago. Here, famous artists have spent their summers looking for inspiration for future projects, in their beautiful summer homes. In Södersunda a visit to the Båtmanstorpet 95 house is worthwhile: it is one of the few houses remaining from the Russian devastation around 1719 and today it is a private museum with thousands of old objects and documents from this period. Subsequently, another ferry will take you in about an hour to the famous island of Sandhamn, with several restaurants to choose from for a well-deserved lunch break. Enjoy the afternoon on this beautiful island, before returning to Djurö by boat (about 2 hours).

Day 5: Djurö – Saltsjöbaden (55 km)
Passing through Fågelbrolandet, you will cycle up to the village of Gustavsberg. Not far away is Artepelag, a modern art museum with impressive works of art and sculptures on about 10,000 m2. Via the Skurusund bridge, from which you will have to stop to take a photo, you will reach Saltsjöbaden, your destination today: the idyllic town is a very popular recreational area among the locals.

Day 6: Saltsjöbaden – Stockholm (35 km)
On your last day you will cover wonderful coastal paths and a nature reserve at Erstavik. You will then pass past the world cultural heritage site of Skogskyrkogården (forest cemetery), which according to UNESCO is an impressive example of a fusion of architecture and cultural landscape. After a few kilometres, you will return to Stockholm to reach your hotel, passing through the islands of Södermalm and Långholmen.

Day 7: Individual departure from Stockholm
After breakfast, end of services. Possibility to extend the stay in Stockholm.
