Description

Day 1: Individual arrival in Basel
Individual arrival in Basel and accommodation in the hotel.

Day 2: Basel – Aarau (55 km)
After breakfast, you will leave the lively atmosphere of Basel to immerse yourself in peace and picturesque countryside. You will then cross the hills of the Argovian Jura Park, followed by a lively descent along the slopes of the Southern Jura to Aarau.

Day 3: Aarau – Lucerne (55 km)
From Aarau the road will lead you to the idyllic Suhrental river valley, and will give you an incredible view of the Alps to the south and the Jura chain to the north. Through abundant orchards and fertile fields along Lake Sempach, you will then reach Lucerne, today's destination.

Day 4: Lucerne – Amsteg (50 km)
The Lake of Four Cantons is one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in Switzerland. Its numerous branches connect the Mittelland and the Alps. When the strong föhn wind blows, the lake reveals its wilder side! You will then cross the Urnerland, until you reach Amsteg.

Day 5: Amsteg – Saint Gotthard Pass (30 km)
Your journey will continue through the Canton of Uri, where the impetuous Reuss dives through the Schöllenenschlucht (gorge), calmed only by the mountain walls and the Devil's bridge. Whether on horseback, by train or by car, many visitors come here to cross the Gotthard towards the south.

Day 6: Saint Gotthard Pass – Bellinzona (80 km)
The Leventina Valley has been a transit corridor since ancient times. You will then cycle along the waters of the Ticino, passing through chestnuts and vineyards until you reach Bellinzona, called «The Towered» because of its numerous castles.

Day 7: Bellinzona – Lugano (70 km)
After breakfast, you will cycle to Cadenazzo and then take the train to Rivera Bironico. From Monte Ceneri you can enjoy the view of the cultivated fields of Piano di Magadino and Lake Maggiore. The postcard beauty of Lake Lugano marks the end of this tour.

Day 8: Departure from Lugano
After breakfast, end of services.
