Description

Day 1: Stockholm
Individual arrival and hotel accommodation. Treat yourself to a walk in the capital of Sweden and explore some of the many tourist attractions.

Day 2: Stockholm - Södertälje (60 km)
The first stage of the tour will take you to pedal along an ancient trade route that has existed since the time of the Vikings along Lake Mälaren, the third of the Swedish lakes by size. Along the route, you will pass Drottningholm Castle, residence of the royal family, a UNESCO site. Also the Chinese Pavilion, dating from the 18th century, is worth a visit before continuing by ferry to Södertälje. We recommend stopping for lunch at Sturehov, on the east bank of Lake Mälaren. The final destination of the day is Södertälje, located south of Stockholm, where Lake Mälaren joins the Baltic Sea through the Södertälje canal lock. Overnight in a hotel in Södertälje.

Day 3: Södertälje - Mariefred (45 km)
Today you will cycle on secondary roads to Gripsholm Castle, which houses the national collection of portraits: over 4000 works that trace the art of portraiture from 1400 to today. The history of the castle dates back to 1370, when Bo Jonsson Grip built a castle on a promontory that, after several expansions, became Gripsholm Castle.

Day 4: Mariefred - Järna (60 km)
Today's tour will take you into the midst of pristine and remote nature reserves, through the extraordinary scenery of Sörmland. At this point, countless rivers and lakes have formed due to vast tectonic movements, however, the altitude never exceeds 100 m. Once you reach the top of the hills, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and a long descent. Your hotel is located in the small town of Järna, with its famous anthroposophical village with biodynamic gardens and characteristic architecture.

Day 5: Järna - Trosa (35 km)
Your destination today is the idyllic town of Trosa on the Baltic Sea, which is also used as a setting for many “Inga Lindström” films. You will then end the day with a walk in the picturesque village, admiring the small alleys, the red houses, and the wonderful water views. We recommend trying crabs, salmon, or smoked fish at one of the delicious little restaurants for dinner.

Day 6: Trosa - Stockholm (55 km)
Heading north and after a short ferry ride, you will arrive on one of the many islands of Stockholm. Enjoy the evening in the capital with a typical Swedish dinner in one of the numerous city restaurants.

Day 7: Stockholm
After breakfast, services end.
