Description

Day 1: Bologna
Individual arrival in Bologna, the capital of the region and probably also its culinary capital. Home to the oldest University in the world, the city has a long tradition of studies, art and gastronomy. Regarding the latter, Bologna is the cradle of mortadella: make sure to try it, perhaps with a cold cuts board in one of the locals of Via Pescherie Vecchie and a good glass of wine. Or you can indulge in a genuine cooking course at a renowned cooking school, or, again, enjoy the Emilian flavors with a dinner in a rustic local trattoria.

Day 2: Modena - Modena (63 km; +/-212 m)
Today you will leave the center of Bologna, pedaling on its numerous urban cycle paths, to reach the sublime Bologna hills sung by the famous local artist Cesare Cremonini in 50 Special. You will face a short climb, but your effort will be rewarded with splendid views. Then continue on the bike path to the city of Bazzano. We recommend, before heading to Modena, to visit its Rocca Renaissance saddle. Once in Modena, do not miss a visit to the historic center and the Cathedral, a Romanesque masterpiece, and its bell tower, the Ghirlandina, which dominates the entire surroundings.

Day 3: Modena - Reggio Emilia (56 km; +/-223 m)
Before Departing for the Reggian countryside, visit the Modena covered market. Here you can delight yourself with the famous Balsamic Vinegar, but also grab some snacks for the journey: fruit and vegetables, but also gourmet selections of Lambrusco wine, amaretti, truffles, cheese and prosciutto. Then, pedaling on secondary roads, you will reach the farm where you will stay.

Day 4: Reggio Emilia - Parma (63 km; +/-219 m)
Today's destination is Parma, a city that will surprise you and your taste buds. After exploring this city rich in art and culture, enjoy some time in the historic center and take the opportunity to delight your palate with Prosciutto and Parmigiano, perhaps accompanied by a rich cold cuts board as an aperitif.

Day 5: Parma
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
