The Green Roads of Girona

Day 1: Olot
Individual arrival in Olot and accommodation in the hotel. Olot is known for having the most unique volcanic landscape on the Iberian Peninsula, with about 40 dormant volcanoes. Here you can take a walk through the Fageda d’en Jordà, a beechwood forest renowned for its beauty.

Day 2: Olot - Les Planes d’Hostoles (22 km)
After receiving the documentation and bicycles, you will start today's stage by following the cycle path along the old narrow gauge railway line Carrilet d’Olot. You will reach Les Planes d’Hostoles by going through the fantastic Bas Valley area, with its beautiful countryside and typical villages, also known as the Catalan Switzerland. Once in Les Planes, take some time to admire the gorges near the river.

Day 3: Les Planes d’Hostoles - Girona (35 km)
Today you will have fun with a downhill stage, through the countryside of the Green Roads. You will pedal following the river Ter, one of the most important rivers in Catalonia, until you reach Girona, where you can spend the rest of the day. You can visit the Cathedral, which has the widest single nave of Gothic architecture in the world and get lost in the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter, one of the best preserved in the world. We also recommend a walk along the Rambla or the medieval walls, which offer a fantastic panoramic view of the city.

Day 4: Girona - Campllong/Llagostera (18 or 21 km)
After breakfast, you will leave the Green Roads of Girona and cycle through the village of Quart, famous for its ceramics, and Cassà de la Selva, with beautiful modernist houses in the city centre. You can spend the afternoon having fun with the animals on the farms near your accommodation.

Day 5: Campllong/Llagostera - Sant Feliu de Guíxols (26 or 30 km)
The last stage is the longest, but also the easiest. A nice fun downhill stretch will take you into the city of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, with its magnificent fishing port and cultural attractions, particularly its monastery. You can then enjoy the rest of the day on the beach.

Day 6: Sant Feliu de Guíxols
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
