Bike Weekend on the Danube from Passau to Linz

Day 1: Passau
Individual arrival in Passau and accommodation in a hotel. Collection of rented bikes and informational material at the local office; free time for city sightseeing. Passau is located on the border between Germany and Austria, and is known as The city of the three rivers because here the Danube, Inn and Ilz meet. The historic center of Passau is definitely worth a visit: the baroque cathedral with the largest organ in Europe, the town hall, the baroque bishop's residence which houses the Cathedral Treasury. Passau has a very active cultural life full of concerts, operas, theatrical performances and is also a great gastronomic destination with typical restaurants and Bavarian breweries.

Day 2: Passau – Schlögen/surroundings (40 km)
The departure by bike from Passau is very easy: just get down to the river and start pedaling along the paved path. After a few kilometers, stop at Engelhartszell, where you can visit the monastery and taste the liqueurs produced by the monks. Then continue to the famous bend of the Danube, Schlögen Schlinge, which you will cross by ferry (bike inclusive); we recommend you enjoy the view from the panoramic point that offers a breathtaking view of this stretch of the Danube.

Day 3: Schlögen/surroundings – Linz (55 km)
Today, on your bike, you will discover the charming village of Aschach, cross Ottensheim and small towns until you reach the incredible city of Linz. Linz, the capital of Upper Austria, awaits you with its historic center full of monuments, churches, museums and palaces, and of course, a slice of Sacher cake to taste! Upon arrival in Linz you will retrieve your luggage at the indicated hotel, no later than 17:30. Individual departure or possibility to book extra nights in Linz.
