Description

Day 1: Arrival in Horn
Individual arrival at Lake Constance and hotel accommodation.

Day 2: Horn - Münchwilen (40 km)
Today you will cross the gentle hills of the Oberthurgau region: abundant apple and pear trees, canned goods producers nearby. You will then cycle east of Wil, the main city in the «Fürstenland», to reach Münchwilen.

Day 3: Münchwilen - Zurich/Regensdorf (70 km)
Today you will cross the Töss valley and its lush vegetation, passing by the homonymous river and Winterthur, a solid city culturally and industrially. You will then cycle to Zurich.

Day 4: Zurich/Regensdorf - Olten (65 km)
Passing through the Furttal Valley and the Limmat River, you can admire the Gothic windows of Königsfelden and the expanses of yellow irises of the Aare River floodplain, followed by a pleasant stretch on the Aare dam up to Olten.

Day 5: Olten - Bienna (75 km)
Today you will cycle to the baroque Solothurn and along the winding Aare River, to reach Dreiseenland (Country of the three lakes). Only 130 years ago, this landscape was redesigned by man: the lake level was lowered and the marshes were drained. The lake land is now the scene of intensive vegetable growing. You will then reach Bienna, the most populous bilingual Helvetic city.

Day 6: Bienna - Morat (45 km)
A pleasant tour through the three lakes awaits you today, leading to the medieval town of Morat - on the southeastern shore of the homonymous lake - which has retained its original appearance, with the picturesque alleys of the old town and the pleasant shaded arcades.

Day 7: Morat - Yverdon-les-Bains (45-50 km)
From medieval Morat to the small town of Avenche. The town of Avenches is located in the wide Broye plain between the lakes of Neuchâtel and Morat, in Canton Vaud near the border with Canton Fribourg. This former capital of Helvetica has a rich and valuable Roman heritage and is definitely worth a visit. You will then return to Lake Neuchâtel, to continue to the Grande Cariçaie, the largest lake swamp in Switzerland: in this 40 km marsh and among the reeds that ring the southern shores of the lake, over 100 species of birds breed each year.

Day 8: Yverdon-les-Bains - Lausanne (55/65 km)
The terrain that you will cover today is flat and fertile: you will cycle through the Plaine de l’Orbe, framed by Roman mosaics and the gentle hills of Canton Vaud, to reach Mormont, the watershed of the Rhone and Rhine. From here a change of scenery awaits you: from the wild waters of the Venoge river to the small silver sea of Lake Geneva.

Day 9: Individual departure
After breakfast, end of services.
