Description

Day 1: Tortolì
Private transfer or individual arrival at Tortolì. After sorting out your luggage, take the opportunity to visit this incredible city.

Day 2: Tortolì – Cardedu (30 or 40 km)
Put your bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen in your bags and be ready for a day filled with sea colors and stunning beaches of Sardinia! As you cycle leisurely, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the coastal landscapes and their diversity. You will pass the white sands of Lido di Orrì and the red cliffs of the Cea bay, cross the green basalt plateau of Teccu, and arrive at Barisardo, where you can visit the ancient Aragonese tower erected on the beach to defend the people from Barbarian invasions. Next, you'll head to the marina of Cardedu, where long white beaches lapped by blue and crystal-clear sea await you.

Day 3: Cardedu – Osini (43 km)
The second day's itinerary starts by going up the schist valley of Rio Pardu, a Natural Monument of Sardinia, a road that snake through green hills covered with olive trees and vineyards of the famous Cannonau wine. Continuing on the bike, the path will take you to explore the little ghost towns of Osini and Gairo Vecchio, abandoned in the 1950s following some devastating floods. These are places where the charm of a now disappeared world is palpable. Finally, you will reach Ulassai, where we recommend a walk to admire the charm of the old stone houses. Don't miss visiting the local textile cooperative's workshop, managed by skilled craftspeople specialized in making original fabrics with designs tied to the Sardinian tradition and local artists. Moreover, you could opt for a visit to the famous Su Marmuri Caves or the contemporary art museum La Stazione dell’Arte.

Day 4: Osini – Seui (53 km)
High cliffs, oak forests and Mediterranean shrubland, wide views of the surrounding area will follow you on this cycling day. Leaving the plateau, you will pass the dirt track where the tracks of the old narrow-gauge railway once lay, with a beautiful view of the Pardu Valley. You will then reach the small hamlet of Gairo Tacquisara, built at the base of the limestone massifs. A long descent and the subsequent climb will take you to the village of Ussassai and then to Seui, a town rich in history and culture, where you can visit the ancient Spanish prisons and the rural culture museum.

Day 5: Seui – Villagrande Strisaili (52 km)
Today you will conquer the tour's peak and from this vantage point enjoy splendid views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Don't miss a visit to the wonderful Nuraghe Ardasai, a magnificent example of these megalithic structures that are over 3000 years old. Looking north, you can see Punta La Marmora, Sardinia's highest mountain. Under the shadow of the impressive Tacco di Perda 'e Liana, you will pass through magnificent scenery and extensive forests, where you may come across cows, donkeys, pigs, goats or horses. You will continue exploring the Gennargentu Park, by wheeling along the smiling shores of the Upper Flumendosa Lake, crossing the route of the Green Train, one of the most beautiful railway lines in the world.

Day 6: Villagrande Strisaili – Santa Maria Navarrese (27 or 41 km)
Breathe deeply and taste the water from the sources you will come across on your journey: you are in the famous Blue Zone of Sardinia, places that hold the world record for the longevity of their inhabitants. From the small hamlet of Villanova, we gently go up the road before tackling a climb that will keep you busy for a few kilometers, at the end of which you will be rewarded with the beautiful panorama that spans from the pass of S'Arcu 'e S'Orostode, crosses the green hills and loses itself in the blue sea.

Day 7: Santa Maria Navarrese (25 km
) After a week on the pedals, you really deserve a boat trip along the stunning coasts of Eastern Sardinia! Places that are a must-visit: Cala Goloritzé, Cala Sisine, and Cala Luna. For the most diligent cyclists, we suggest a ring tour in the hinterland around Santa Maria Navarrese.

Day 8: Santa Maria Navarrese
After breakfast, the services end and individual departure.
