Sardinia MTB from Montevecchio to Pula

Day 1: Montevecchio
Private transfer or individual arrival to Montevecchio.

Day 2: Ring of the Green Coast(38 km; +920 m)
The bike tour of Sardinia begins by crossing the center of Montevecchio, once the most important mining center of the Sulcis area, where you will enjoy the fantastic single track along the Rio Irvi, which you will have to cross 18 times before getting to the sea. After coasting the beautiful Green Coast, whose waters make honor to its name, the unmistakable profile of Monte Arcuentu will be your reference point while you return to your farm stay.

Day 3: Montevecchio – Piscinas Dunes – Fighezia (41 km; +750 m)
Immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, another exciting single track leads you to Piscinas beach, with its dunes up to 50 meters high: among the highest living dunes in Europe. During the subsequent climb you will cross the village of Ingortosu, another testimony of the now ceased mining activity. Tonight, a cozy farm stay with excellent cuisine is ready to welcome you.

Day 4: Fighezia – Nebida (39 or 44 km; +1060 m)
After crossing Fluminimaggiore, a small town characterized by social protest murals, riding in the pristine nature of this corner of Sardinia by bike, you will travel along ancient mining roads until you return to the coast at Nebida, where you stop for the night. Don't miss a unique show: the view of the evocative Pan di Zucchero cliff at sunset.

Day 5: Nebida – Calasetta (43 km; +250 m)
After three days of climbs and dirt roads, you can allow yourself a day to recover: a beautiful descent will lead you to Fontanamare and from there you will reach Portoscuso, to embark for the Island of Carloforte, famous for the fishing of red tuna. From Carloforte, you will pass to Calasetta, on the Island of Sant’Antioco, where you stop for the night.

Day 6: Calasetta – S. Anna Arresi/Teulada (46 km; +700 m)
Another easy day of cycling through the meadows, green in spring and gold in summer, of the Island of Sant’Antioco. In Tratalias, the Pisanic sanctuary awaits you, one of the most significant monuments of Sardinian Romanesque. Along Lake Monte Pranu, you will breathe the sweetness and quiet of the flat Sulcis countryside.

Day 7: S. Anna Arresi – Pula (60 km; +1200 m)
The final seal to the bike tour of Sardinia is the evocative and wild south coast, with its white beaches, lush nature, and imposing cliffs: Malfatano cape, with its 16th century tower, Spartivento cape, and Chia. In Nora, you can visit the ancient Phoenician settlement. The most resolute, on the other hand, will have a chance to vent by climbing the mountains of lower Sulcis, with an evocative itinerary in the forest of Is Cannoneris, which will take them directly to Pula.

Day 8: Pula
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
