The beauty of this package is in the freedom it offers: without a guide, you are free to decide the timing, pace, and stops of your journey. Travel freely, travel your way!

3/5 Medium

Moderate, between 35 and 85 kilometers per day with an elevation gain between 300 and 1000 meters.

The starting point is different from the ending point, with overnight stays in different hotels and daily stages.

Day 1: Cannigione
Private transfer or individual arrival in Cannigione and overnight stay.

Day 2: Cannigione – Costa Smeralda – Cannigione (54 km)
Let’s discover the beauties of the Costa Smeralda by bicycle, when the millionaires are far away. We pedal towards Arzachena and then towards the hills of San Pantaleo. We go down towards Porto Cervo and then, Baia Sardinia, before returning to Cannigione.

Day 3: Cannigione – Archipelago La Maddalena – Cannigione (60 km)
Today our tour of the Costa Smeralda by bicycle continues northwards to Palau, from where we board the ferry to the lively city of La Maddalena, on the island of the same name. From here, across a bridge, you reach the island of Caprera, where Garibaldi’s house museum is located. Once back in La Maddalena, a round trip will allow us to discover the beautiful beaches of this small island. We finish the day by taking the ferry back to Palau and from there, back to Cannigione.

Day 4: Cannigione – Tempio Pausania/Nuchis (51 km)
Today we explore the beauties of the interior of Sardinia, perhaps less known, but incredibly suggestive. Our holiday takes us by bike through Gallura, characterized by large cork forests and granite rocks, sculpted by time in the most varied forms.

Day 5: Tempio Pausania/Nuchis – Castelsardo (49 km)
From Tempio we head towards the sea again, not before having seen the Valley of the Moon. The cycling stage ends in Castelsardo, a medieval stronghold built by the Dorias in 1102, located overlooking the sea. We will have the opportunity to visit its ancient village, which has been kept intact throughout history.

Day 6: Castelsardo – Sassari (33/55 km)
We visit another area of the interior, crossing the villages of Nulvi and Osilo, to enjoy the spectacular views over the entire Anglona region. Tonight we sleep in Sassari, the second largest city in Sardinia.

Day 7: Sassari – Alghero (44 km)
The final leg of the Costa Smeralda by bicycle takes us to Alghero. After leaving Sassari, we reach the coast by pedaling along secondary roads. Alghero is the seal of the journey, a beautiful fortified city, famous for its ramparts on the sea. The streets of the historic center, entirely closed to traffic, retain a special charm, which will not fail to conquer us. The people of Alghero continue to speak a dialect that descends directly from Catalan, making the city a linguistic enclave.

Day 8: Alghero
After breakfast, end of services.
