Description

Day 1: Individual arrival in Basel
Individual arrival in Basel and accommodation in hotel.

Day 2: Basel – Miécourt, approx. 60 km
Leaving the lively atmosphere of Basel, you will pedal on the first slopes of the Jura, proceeding along the water course immersed in the La Lucelle woods, on the French-Swiss border, then diving into the gentle Ajoie countryside.

Day 3: Miécourt – Saignelégier, approx. 45 km
St. Ursanne, a medieval village located at the foot of the Jura, awaits you on the banks of the mysterious Doubs river. Another somewhat challenging climb will lead you to Freiberge, a wide and quiet countryside with pastures, pines and grazing cattle and horses.

Day 4: Saignelégier – Travers/Couvet, approx. 70 km
After breakfast, you will start pedaling to reach the center of La Chaux-de-Fonds, or you can take a train to La Cibourg and then continue. The lively metropolis, famous for its historic watch production, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. From here, the route will lead you through the Les Ponts-des-Martel peatland to Travers or Couvet.

Day 5: Travers/Couvet – Ste-Croix, approx. 30 km
Today your journey will continue along the Green Fairy trail through the Val-de-Travers. Ste-Croix and L’Auberson are known for making beautiful jukeboxes, music boxes, and puppeteers.

Day 6: Ste-Croix – Vallée de Joux, approx. 45 km
Today from the plain of Vallorbe you will climb to the Dent de Vaulion and then reach the Vallée de Joux. In this high valley awaits you the clear and quiet Lake Joux.

Day 7: Vallée de Joux – Nyon, approx. 55 km
After breakfast, pedal to the Col du Marchairuz: here you will find hundreds of anthills and artistically placed stone walls in the quiet Parc Jurassien Vaudoise. Finally, you can relax and gently descend into the tranquility of Lake Geneva.

Day 8: Individual departure from Nyon
After breakfast, end of services.
