Description

Day 1: Brussels
Individual arrival to Brussels, a city that will seduce you with its buildings, galleries, alleys, market square, the Atomium, the Manneken Pis, all characteristic places of the Belgian capital, which you cannot avoid visiting.

Days 2: Brussels–Mechelen (65 km)
On this first day of biking, you will ride through Leuven, a typical Flemish city known not only for being the oldest university city in Belgium but also the city of beer. Once you reach Mechelen, you can enjoy a walk along the Dijle river, to learn about its important historical buildings, from St. Rombouts Cathedral to the palaces of Margaret of York and Margaret of Austria. Alternatively, you can also visit the toy museum.

Days 3: Mechelen–Bornem (32 km)
Today's stage will take you along the Rupel and Scheldt rivers, up to Bornem; it's a short stage that will leave you time to reach, in just 15 minutes by train, Antwerp: enjoy a walk along Meir, the shopping street, taste a beer in one of the many squares or admire the rich architecture of this important Flemish city.

Days 4: Bornem–Ghent (64 km)
Ghent is another important center remembered for the numerous towers that dominate it; the city offers numerous attractions, such as St. Bavo's Cathedral, which houses the famous work by Jan van Eyck. The historic center is well preserved and the old port deserves to be visited as does the nearby Gravensteen, the medieval castle of the Counts of Ghent.

Days 5: Ghent–Bruges (52 km)
Bruges’ old town, one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Take your time to walk through the parks, intimate alleys and old market squares, discovering this living museum of the 13th century, which remains unchanged since 5 centuries ago, with its old houses and aristocratic palaces, churches and numerous canals. You can also go shopping: local retailers will be happy to explain all about their beer and chocolate, or just enjoy a dish of moules-frites, the typical chips and mussels.

Days 6: Bruges–De Haan–Bruges (55 km)
In the last bike stage, you will continue along the canals of the picturesque village of Lissewege, to then pedal up to De Haan, a coastal town where you can relax on the beach or swim in the North Sea. Alternatively, you can dedicate this day to some shopping, a boat ride through the canals, a visit to a museum or quickly reach Ostend by train (15 minutes).

Day 7: Bruges
After breakfast, end of services, and individual departure.
