Description

Day 1: Montargis
Arrival at Montargis. Boarding and check-in at 2:00 PM. After a welcome on board by the captain, crew, and your guide, we'll dedicate some time to adjusting the bicycles and embark on a brief test ride. After dinner, along with your Tour Leader, you will take a walk around Montargis, the second-largest city after Orléans in the Loiret Department. Unfortunately, the royal residence of the city was destroyed in a fire in the 16th century, but the flower-adorned canals will welcome you with all their charm.

Day 2: Montargis (45 km)
After breakfast, you'll start your journey along the Seine, cycling from Montargis towards Château-Renard, where you can visit the ruins of a 10th-century castle and the Musée Vivant de l’Apiculture (Living Beekeeping Museum), where you can watch local beekeepers at work and taste their delicious honey. You'll return to Montargis following the River Ouanne.

Day 3: Montargis – Cépoy Lock by boat | Cépoy Lock – Néronville (39 or 46 km)
During breakfast, the boat will sail towards the Cépoy Lock. The bike route will follow the Loing River, stopping first at the medieval village of Ferrières, with its beautifully preserved historic center and a splendid monastery nestled among a maze of narrow streets. The route then continues towards Égreville, for centuries an important trading crossroads, renowned for its fairs and markets, where you'll visit the Musée Jardin Bourdelle which hosts 57 monumental bronze sculptures by artist Antoine Bourdelle. The final destination for the day: Néronville.

Day 4: Néronville – Nemours (29 or 43 km)
Today's route crosses an area cultivated since Gallo-Roman times; the first stop will be at the Gallic fortress of Château-Landon, a beautiful fortified town perched on a rocky spur that hosts the ancient Abbey of Saint-Severin, dating back to the 13th century. The final stop of the day, the city of Nemours, includes a beautiful 12th-century medieval castle, which now houses a museum on the prehistory of the Île-de-France region.

Day 5: Nemours – Moret-sur-Loing (32 or 46 km)
Today, you'll explore the Valley of the Loing River. First, you'll visit Grez-sur-Loing, chosen as a place of residence by numerous artists at the beginning of the 20th century. You'll then proceed to Bourron-Marlotte, in whose Town Hall you can admire two magnificent Impressionist paintings. Overnight on board in Moret-sur-Loing, an enchanting fortified town strategically located on the banks of the Loing River, where the Impressionist painter Sisley drew inspiration for his works.

Day 6: Moret-sur-Loing – Melun (40 km)
Today, you'll cycle through the beautiful Fontainebleau Forest. The first stop of the day is the city of Fontainebleau, with its magnificent castle, much loved by French kings due to the extensive hunting opportunities provided by the forest. The castle today houses a museum dedicated to Napoleon, but it's also worth taking a stroll through the town's streets and shops. The route then continues to the Artists’ Village of Barbizon where, in the first half of the 19th century, several painters found inspiration and founded the Barbizon School of landscape Realism. If you're interested, you can visit the local museum. The final destination of the day: the cozy town of Melun. Dinner tonight is not included, but you have the option to choose from restaurants downtown.

Day 7: Melun – Evry Lock | Evry Lock – Paris (31 km)
You're approaching Paris, which means more traffic along the Seine. In the morning, you can enjoy a brief bike ride along the banks of the Seine to the Evry Lock, where you will board for lunch and a navigation stretch towards Paris. The boat will then dock at the Arsenal Basin, in the heart of Paris, not far from Notre-Dame. After dinner, your Tour Leader will take you on an evening walk to beautifully conclude your bike and boat tour on the Seine.

Day 8: Paris
After breakfast, disembark by 9:30 AM.
